In the absence of actual data, I would guess that the ionization energy of alkaline earth, i.e. the energy associated with the given reaction:

would be slightly greater than that of the corresponding alkali metal because its nuclear charge is greater (i.e. #Z+1)#. But what do I know? I has no data.
