The beginning of WWII

The Great Depression was caused by factories and farms producing more goods than the people could buy. Banks would also make loans that the borrowers could not pay back. So, the stock market crashed.

Though Roosevelt, president at the time, created the New Deal to end the Great Depression, it really did not work.

What ended the Great Depression was when WWII started in European countries. The countries needed goods which created jobs, so the economy boosted and men went to war after Pearl Harbor which created even more jobs.
