Elements which exist in different atomic arrangements.

Explanation:

Some elements can have different atomic arrangements, resulting in different properties. Carbon has many different atomic arrangements, or allotropes, two being graphite and diamond. Graphite is arranged in a hexagonal atomic pattern forming sheets which are layered on top of each other, whereas diamond is a repeating tetrahedral shape. Both structures are composed solely of carbon. Oxygen can be in the form of oxygen gas (#O_2#) or ozone (#O_3#).
