As it name suggests, quantitative measurements are amounts that can be counted and measured using standard units, for instance, mass, volume, etc.
Qualitative observations are observations that are visible to the naked eye or our senses. A change of colour would be a qualitative observation. The emission of a certain scent would be a qualitative observation. A change in texture is a qualitative observation as well.
