there are three laws of motion stated by Isaac Newton:
Newton's first law of motion is called law of inertia. inertia is that characteristic of the body due to which it resists against changes in its state of rest or of uniform motion.the first law of motion states that:
"Every body continues its state of rest or of uniform motion unless it is acted upon by an external force which changes its state of rest or of uniform motion."
Newton's second law of motion states that:
"when an external force acts upon a body, it produces acceleration in the direction of the force and the magnitude of acceleration is directly proportional to the force and inversely proportional to the mass."
the second law of motion is : F=ma
the third law of motion states that:
"To every action, there is an equal but opposite reaction."
