Yes, they are.

Explanation:

Each human kidney as well as the human heart is approximately the size of a human fist.

The dimensions vary from person to person with kidneys measuring 10-13cm long, 5-7.5cm wide, and 2-2.5cm thick, while the heart measures around 12cm long, 8cm wide and 6cm thick.

As can be seen from the dimensions, while the sizes and elongations are similar, the kidneys are slightly flatter than the heart which has a more rounded shape.
