# If f(x) = 2 - x - x^2, then what is f(–1)+ f(0)?

If $f \left(x\right) = 2 - x - {x}^{2}$, then
$f \left(\text{-1}\right) + f \left(0\right)$
$= \left[2 - {\left(\text{-1")-("-1}\right)}^{2}\right] + \left[2 - \left(0\right) - {\left(0\right)}^{2}\right]$
$= \left[2 + 1 - 1\right] + \left[2\right]$
$= 4$
