Explanation:

  • REGARDING STABILITY OF ATOM: according to electromagnetic theory , the electrons must radiate energy in form of EM waves .due to this the radii of their orbit should be continuously decreasing and falls in nucleus .

REGARDING LINE SPECTRUM: according to classical theory of electromagnetic waves, frequency of EM waves emitted bu electron is equal to frequency of revolution of electrons. due to continuous change in frequency of revolution of electron it will radiate EMwaves which means these waves are continuous in nature.but experimentally we get line spectrum which he was unable to explain.
