Since the sum of two supplementary angles must be #180^o#, both cannot be obtuse (more than #90^o#).

Two angles are called Supplementary when they add up to #180^o#.

An angle is called Obtuse when its measure is more than #90^o#

Since the measure of two obtuse angles will always add up to more than #180^o#, two obtuse angles cannot be supplementary angles.
