Excretion is the process of eliminating metabolic waste, mainly through urine, skin, but also e.g. the lungs (#CO_2#).

Explanation:

Really the most important part of excretion is Urine formation, and it tends to also be what schools focus on.

The process of urine formation is incredibly complex, but it can be broken down into:

  1. Glomerular Ultrafiltration
  2. Tubular Reabsorption
  3. Reabsorption via the Loop of Henle
