Assuming that the rock is under free fall, so the acceleration due to the gravity will be the only acceleration it has.
Lets say the mass of the rock is m. Due to gravity the acceleration of it is g in the downward direction.

The force acting on the ground would be of magnitude m*g and the direction would be towards the ground.
