The Big Bang wasn't an explosion in the conventional sense.

Explanation:

An explosion is a, usually destructive, release of energy. The Big Bang wasn't that. According to theory the Big Bang was the creation of the universe from a point singularity.

The Big Bang wasn't destructive as the very hot material soon cooled down into the universe as we know it.

The Big Bang wasn't the explosion of matter, it was the massive growth of the 4 dimensional spacetime in which we live.

Arguably time didn't exist before the Big Bang.
