Countries experience overpopulation for a variety of reasons including lack of education, lack of family planning, technology improvements, and access to medical facilities.

Explanation:

Many countries throughout the world (especially developing countries) experience human overpopulation from a variety of reasons. Some include:

  • Better access to medicine and medical treatment (resulting in a decline in death rates)
  • Children used to work in order to help families financially
  • Lack of education on family planning and access to birth control
  • Immigration to new countries

Perhaps the prominent reason overpopulation occurs in developing countries is the lack of education regarding the reproductive system and how to avoid unwanted pregnancies. In other situations, children can be seen as a way to help families overcome poverty by helping the family financially.
