Explanation:

Heart rate is calculated quite simply by taking the pulse at the wrist.

Place two fingers of one hand lightly on the wrist of the other hand at the base of the thumb.

You will notice a gentle pulsation. Count the number of pulses for 60 seconds. That's your heart rate.
