Dogs are NOT colour blind. See explanation.

Explanation:

Dogs' sight is different than human's, but that does not mean they are colour blind. Of course dog's sight can deteriorate because of ilness or other factors, but a healthy dog's eye is not color blind.

The difference is that it sees other colours than people, it sees better at night and is better at detecting movement.

There is also a difference in the way dogs see colours. However it is not true that they do not see colours at all.

In human eyes there are particles detecting 3 basic colurs (red, green and blue). Dogs only have two kinds of such particles and neither of them detects green. So one can say that dogs see world in blue and yellow.
