To find the mean of a data set, add all the data up and then divide by the number of data (numbers) you have.

So for the data set you have:

`7+6+13+3+12+7+3+3+12+12+3+6+6+12=105`

Then divide this number by 14 (because there were 14 numbers)

`105/14=7.5`

So the mean was 7.5 books
