Chemists sometimes speak of #"dihydrogen"# in order to distinguish this from #"ATOMIC hydrogen"#. In either scenario you have differentiate between #"dihydrogen gas"# and #"atomic hydrogen"#.....i.e. you yourself specify the molecularity.
