Active and passive

Explanation:

The two transports across the membrane are, active and passive transport.

Active transport is the movement of substances from a region of lower concentration to a region of higher concentration.
Passive is the opposite of active transport, which is from higher concentration to lower, to create equilibrium or balance out the concentration of the substance on both sides.

Active transport uses energy (e.g. ATP) from the cell, but passive doesn't.
