Question #7f0a9
1 Answer
Proteins are made up of amino acids, polysacccharides are made up of sugrs
Explanation:
Proteins are made up of small molecules know as amino acids.
A lot of these amino acids are linked together with a peptide bond to form a protein(see next image)
The amino acids in the protein make different substructures, like
Polysachharides are essentially a lot of sugars (monosaccharides) linked together with glycosidic bonds. One of the most well known polysaccharides is cellulose. Cellulose is made up of lots of linked glucose molecules.
Most polysaccharides are used as either structural elements of organisms (like chitin and cellulose), whilst other polysaccharides are used to store energy for later use (like glycogen and starch)
