Organisms evolve to survive in the changing world and lose things they do not need.
Explanation:
Example: Some animals have evolved to have feet and walk on land. to take advantage of what Earth has to offer.
Example: Man has evolved to have less hair since we do not need it as much.
Natural selection and natural variations.
Explanation:
Organism evolve or change to meet changing environmental conditions. Organisms with a selective advantage will be able to reproduce more effectively than organism with less advantageous genes.
Extinction is the result of natural selection. The population without the preferred genome will become extinct. The population with the genome better adapted to the environment will increase.
Vitamin D created by sunlight is essential to human health. It is thought that white skin people are better able to absorb the limited sunlight in the northern hemisphere. This provided white skinned people with a selective advantage in countries like Iceland.
Melamine is important in protecting the skin from the harmful radiation of the sun which causes cancer and other skin diseases. Dark skinned people had an adaptive advantage in Africa where the sun is very hot.
Natural selection can cause changes in the occurrence of existing genomes, favoring some and causing the extinction in others. However Natural selection can not cause an increase in information or the creation of new and novel forms of life on earth.
