Momentum in the most usual sense (in the sense of linear momentum) is defined as the product of mass and velocity of a particle.

Therefore, `vec p = mvec v`

However, there are other variations : One typically talks about Angular momentum in a particle in orbits! In such a case,

`l = Iomega` where, `l` is the Angular momentum, `I` is the moment of inertia, and `omega` is the Angular speed.
