Cancer is associated with uncontrolled mitotic cell division that gives rise to neoplasm i.e. malignant tissue. Vinblastine is a cancer drug because it blocks progress of mitosis midway.

Explanation:

Vinblastine is one of the potent Vinca alkaloids which inhibits cell proliferation.

The chemical attaches to tubulin and alters rate of polymerisation as well as depolymerisation of microtubular ends. This leads to disruption of metaphase spindle apparatus , formation of which is essential for division of cell.
