In order to project Egypt's power and to lead the pharaohs on a successful path to the after life.

Explanation:

The first Pyramid in Giza was built in 2550 B.C.E by Pharaoh Khufu. It is the largest of the three pyramids in Giza, reaching 147 meters (481 feet) tall. Khufu's son, Pharaoh Khafre, built the second pyramid thirty years later. The third and final pyramid was built by Pharaoh Menkaure in 2490 B.C.E. The pharaohs of Egypt were believed to be able to communicate with the gods and acted as a mediator between the gods and the people of Egypt. Pharaohs then would become divine after death, so they prepared themselves for the next world by erecting temples to the gods , as well as massive pyramid tombs filled with all the things they would need to guide themselves in the next world. Another point of the pyramids was to project Egypt's power, and to show the wealth and influence of the pharaohs who commissioned them to be built. Hope this answer helped!
