Explanation:

The 13 colonies are broken up in three groups. The south, the middle, and New England. We are going to start with Jamestown which is in the south.

England sent John Smith and a bunch of colonist to North America after Roanke which fail miserably. Nobody was working and everyone was looking for gold. John Smith stood up and said 'if you don't work, you don't eat.' People started working because they didn't want to starve. The other south colonies were made for gold and tobacco. Tobacco made the colonie successful because England loved that.

The middle colonies. New Amsterdam was a Dutch colony but England saw how good it was and wanted it and they took it from the Dutch. Pennsylvania was found because Willam Penn was a Quaker and King Charles owed him money. He just wanted land so he told King Charles to grant him land so he can make a colony for the Quaker religion.

The New England colonies were found because of Religious freedom. They were separatist from England so they left. They made the Mayflower contact so their colony was legal. Squanto and Somaset helped them make food and friend the Indians. Rhode Island was found because Roger Willams was kicked out of Masschusetts for his own religion.
