Mitosis is a type of cell division which is responsible for growth & repair of cells & produce diploid cells , which are identical to each other & to parent cell also.

The only type of cells which do not undergoes mitosis are germ cells(i.e. ovum & sperm).

Asexual reproduction involves mitosis.
