3 types of pigments are present in the cones, namely red,green and blue. Using the combination of these three,all the colours can be generated.
And for seeing white,law of complementary colours acts.
As for example, red and green is yellow, red and blue makes magneta.
There's a long list of resultant colour formed due to such combinations.
