Edmonton is with Latitude 53 degrees North and Moscow is with Latitude 55 degrees North .
Explanation:
The flora and fauna is nothing to do if occurs on same latitude globally.
There are many other conditions affecting flora and fauna. The vertical height of the place. The large water bodies in nearby area, the population and forest cover.
Moscow is a large city with very little conserved places. The need of a large city is huge amount of energy in the form of electricity and depletes resources.
Edmonton though on the same latitude is rich in vegetation and surroundings. The natural resources are abundant in Canada when compared with Russia
