Got a Periodic Table....?

Explanation:

Group 1 of the Periodic Table, the FIRST vertical COLUMN, are the alkali metals: lithium; sodium; potassium; rubidium; caesium; francium. And the alkaline earths, the SECOND vertical column, are the Group 2 metals: beryllium; magnesium; calcium; strontium; barium; radium.

Both sets of metals are readily oxidized, and are therefore excellent reducing agents.
