Together they have mowed $\frac{8}{20} + \frac{5}{20} = \frac{13}{20}$

Treat the whole lawn as $1$ which is the same as $\frac{20}{20}$

$\therefore \frac{20}{20} - \frac{13}{20} = \frac{7}{20}$
