Using Law of conservation of energy for a closed system we have

Heat given by copper ball

#=# Heat taken by water and copper calorimeter .....(1)

Taking room temperature to be

Specific heat capacity of copper

Specific heat capacity of water

Inserting various values in (1) we get

#(100) (0.385) (T - 75) = (100) (0.385) (75-30)+(170) (4.1813) (75-30)#

#=> (T - 75) = (38.5 (45)+(170) (4.1813) (45))/38.5#

#=>T - 75 = 875.8#

#=>T = 800.8^@ C#
