If the frequency of tuning fork `b` be `n`,then the number of beats per sec will be nothing but the difference of frequencies of two tuning forks . So

`abs(256-n)=" No. of beats per sec"=3`

So `+(286-n)=3`

`=>n=256-3=253Hz`

Again

`-(256-n)=3`

`=> n=256+3=259Hz`

So n will be 253Hz or 259Hz
