# An object with a mass of 3 kg is on a plane with an incline of pi/12 . If the object is being pushed with 8 N  of force, what is the net force on the object?

Resolving parallel to the plane we have:

$3 g \sin \left(\frac{\pi}{12}\right)$ Newtons acting down the plane due to gravity

and 8 Newtons acting up the plane

Hence, net force is $8 - 3 g \sin \left(\frac{\pi}{12}\right)$

i.e. $8 - 7.609279926 \implies 0.39$ Newtons up the plane
