This depends on the type of the cell cycle the cell is going through.

Explanation:

Eight chromatids means four chromosomes each being duplicated.
If it is a mitotic cell division, then the new cells will have four chromosomes each.They will be the same as the parent cell.
If it is a meotic cell division, then by the end of telophase I the cells will have four chromosomes each ( two chromosomes each is made of two connected sister chromatids), and by the end of telophase II the cells will have two chromosomes each.This is half the number of the original parent's one.
