The only example I can think of is when a liquidus is formed when potassium reacts with sodium.

Explanation:

This reaction is well beyond the undergraduate scope; formation of sodium/potassium amalgam is a specialized technique. Note also that you can dissolve solid sodium, and solid potassium in liquid mercury metal.
