No! absolutely not!

Explanation:

Light is essential for plants because they utilize it to produce energy via the 3 protein chain composing of Photosystem II, Cytochrome bf, and Photosystem I. Photosystems II and I use light energy to convert water into oxygen thus taking an electron and using it to produce NADPH from NADP + H to fuel the dark reactions (these dont require light) thus producing a 3 carbon sugar (plant food usually glucose) and pumping hydrogen protons to fuel the ATP synthase (another protein complex) which produces ATP to be used in the dark reactions as well. So essentially, without light, the dark reactions do not carry out and the plant deprived from its food dies.

No.

Explanation:

Plants need light to stay alive, as they use the light for photosynthesis, which is a process where they create simple sugars (glucose), and then turn it into energy #("ATP")#.

So, without light, this process will not take place, and so the plant will die out because of no food, like humans with starvation.
