Can someone help me answer this cal/h question?

On a brisk walk, a person burns about 320 Cal/h. At this rate, how many hours of brisk walking would it take to lose 1 lb of body fat? (A pound of body fat stores an amount of chemical energy equivalent to 3,500 Cal.) Answer__h

#10.9h (1dp)# or just under #11h#

Explanation:

What we are told:

Amount to be burned (1lb of body fat equivalent): #3500# Cal

The person burns about #320# Cal/h

so number of hours to burn #3500# cal #= 3500/320 = 10.9375#

Note that the question states that the rate is " about 320 Cal/h", and asks for "At this rate, how many hours ..." so the answer "10.9375 hours" is not really appropriate (this is more accurate than the information we are given).

My answer is therefore #10.9h (1dp)# or just under #11h#.
