Political Parties

Explanation:

In theory, people are elected to represent a select body of people. Parties send a message to the people about how a certain politician will vote. We elect them and in return, they come and report to us about how they are doing their jobs and any improvements we think they should make i.e. town halls. If the person was elected in a Conservative party (US or abroad) but they then act and vote more in liberal terms, that tells the people that they don't represent the values they said they had. Political parties make a outline of what and how a politician should act and vote, making their constituents who voted for them because of those values happy. Hope this help!
