Can you help me solve the problem and how i would solve it?

A car is traveling down Fox Chapel road at a velocity of 25 m/s. A toddler suddenly runs out into the middle of the road. If it takes the driver 0.75 seconds to react and then apply the brakes, how many meters will the care have moved before it ever begins to slow down? Describe how they would solve the above problem

18.25m

Explanation:

The car travels at a velocity of 25m/s .
Thus, u=25m/s

She reacts after 0.75s
Thus, t=0.75s

Since distance=speed*time,
distance travelled by the car before it starts to slow down is:

color(red)(u*t=25m/s*0.75s=18.25m
That's your final answer.

hope this helps.
