Consider the following situation: Charles is making a video journal as he hikes in Yellowstone National Park. He is standing on a mountaintop and wants to film a full 360-degree view. Which kind of camera shot should Charles use?
He should make a panning shot
Panning shot is short for panorama shot.
The technique: you put the camera on a tripod, level it, and turn the camera through the whole circle while filming.
Of course you could do this without a tripod, but the result won't be as neat.
