Difference between bacteria and bacteroides ?

During nodule formation Rhizobium is converted to rod shaped bacteroides why?

Well, they are both types of bacteria....


But bacteroides are obligate anaerobic bacteria, meaning that they die at atmospheric levels of oxygen #(21% \ O_2)#. Some are motile while others are nonmotile, as always.
