Anything that consumes product affected by bio-magnification is, and humans are very good at consuming. Take the levels of mercury in fish. The fish consume smaller organisms and accumulate mercury which we then eat. Indirectly, we are affected. Think of food as a pyramid. You eat food, and then eat indirectly the hundreds of things your food ate and the thousands of things their foods foods eaten. Also like a pyramid certain things will then concentrate at the tip. An effective predator/consumer may have consumed enough prey or nutrients to concentrate whatever they have consumed.
