Yes, but not usually noticeably.

Explanation:

Environmental pressures are a combination of many factors. Most of them take some time to up to a point at which they can be said to be applying "pressure" to the system.

Life systems are dynamic by nature, so we never have a really "static", unchanging system. We prefer to see "equilibrium", which means that changes are counteracted or remediated to maintain a desirable healthy environmental state before they become problems.

Whenever there is an unchecked increase in population (such as humans) it inevitably puts serious pressure on environmental stability.
