#"Oxygen exists in air as diatomic molecules............."#

Explanation:

The oxygen molecule, #O_2#, of course is a diatom. So is #N_2#. In fact most of the elemental gases are diatomic or binuclear, cf. #H_2,N_2,O_2, F_2, Cl_2#...........The exceptions to this rule are the Noble Gases which are mononuclear. This is something you simply have to know.
