Does the sun have more energy than other stars?

Not really. It's just an average star that happens to have a nice blue planet orbiting it.

Explanation:

During yhe major part of its lifetime.thr amount of energy a star gives off is related to the mass of the star:

more mass
= stronger gravity
= greater compression in the star's core
= hotter, denser core
= faster nuclear fusion
= more energy output.

Roughly our Sun is in the middle of the distribution of masses, so its energy output is middle-of-the- road, too.
