Larger particles are slower and smaller particles are faster.

Explanation:

Kinetic energy is described in this equation:

#"KE" = mv^2#

Where #m# is mass and #v# is velocity.

This equation tells us that, if we have the same amount of kinetic energy, mass will increase when velocity decreases.
In other words: if we have more mass, we'll have less velocity, or speed. If we have less mass, we'll have more velocity, or speed.

This means that larger particles with more mass have less speed. Smaller particles with less mass have more speed.
