During which season will the sun travel the shortest path across the sky?

Winter season on the hemisphere. This is due to that hemisphere of the Earth leaning furthest away from the sun, so it takes a lower route- and shortest path across the sky.
However, the sun does not move quicker across the sky, it just leaves quicker than in other months.
Shortest path of the year is also on the winter solstice of that hemisphere.
