Explanation:
when a pulse has reach the synapse, neurotransmitters will be (chemical compounds) released to bind on specific proteins which are located on the dendritic of the next neuron, these proteins acts like gates, the gate is open when specific neurotransmitters bind on them so Sodium ions can get inside the neuron and get ready for the next pulse.
