They both turn methyl orange and litmus paper red.

Explanation:

If you dip a blue piece of litmus paper into a solution of acid, like nitric acid #(HNO_3)#, then it should turn the litmus paper red. If you dip a red piece of litmus paper, no colour change is observed. Again, here is a picture of the test in action:
