Explanation:

In order to find rational number between two integers, just make these integers as a rational number.

So we have,

#-1=-1/1# and #3=3/1#.

Now multiply and divide these number by 6,

(You can choose any other number too, but make sure it is a relatively bigger number in order to make the denominator sufficiently large ).

So now we have,

#-6/6# and #18/6# (Notice that the numbers are still the same.)

Now you acn easily write 6 rational numbers between these two numbers.

e.g., #-5/6,-4/6 , -3/6, .......,16/6,17/6.#
