Explanation:

#cos 90=0# so from the table, #b=4#
#cos 0=1# , putting this into the equation gives
#a xx 1+4=10#
#a=10-4, a=6#

So #y=6cos x +4# is the equation.
Put #x=45# into the equation

#=> y=6 xx sqrt2/2+4#

#=> y=3sqrt2+4#
